Update:

In November of 2006, the Lions Lighthouse started a new vision clinic program. This program provides qualifying patients three very important vision services:

    1. Full dilated eye exam (performed by either an ophthalmologist or optometrist).
    2. One pair of eyeglasses every 3 years.
    3. Follow-up care for chronic eye conditions, such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

There are several goals that the Lions Lighthouse would like to meet with this program:

    1. To address the vision needs of the uninsured and financially needy in Georgia.
    2. To deliver professional vision services throughout these sites on a consistent basic.
    3. To increase Lion involvement throughout the state in addressing the program of vision needs.
